Poem - WE ARE DOMESTIC JEWS

We are a sturdy race,
WE, DOMESTIC JEWS.
Beaten to pulp
Sapped of our life juice
We thrive on our misery
WE ARE DOMESTIC JEWS.

Lending our experience
     With interest
Our capital is our suffering.
Our wealth :
A supple frame, a humble face
Thriving on usery
WE  ARE DOMESTIC JEWS.

Every Christ among us,
       Who bears the Cross
Is crucified.
Enchained to the past
Enchanted by the future
Little we grow in the present
We, the pillars of culture
WE, DOMESTIC JEWS.

Born a blood –tainted race,
We carry the stars of prosperity
In our wombs
WE ARE DOMESTIC JEWS,

A hardy race
Sapped of our juice, by nature’s grace.

Regimented under watchful eyes
Always put to fruitful use
WE ARE DOMESTIC JEWS,
We carry a price.
Every domestic camp
Enshrines itself on our labours

Put to industrious use
         We produce offspring
To enrich our vain masters
         We rarely make news,
                                         WE ARE ONLY DOMESTIC JEWS.

We ascend the pyres,
                To purify the dominant race
Withstand every torture
       Without a grimace
We are a mute lot
                     Bequeathed with suffering
WE ARE DOMESTIC JEWS,
Our lives have no meaning.
